John's Bio

John has lived in Marshfield with his wife, Lori-anne, and his two children, Nicholas and Olivia, since 1996. He is the sole proprietor of South Shore Sign, and has operated two small businesses over the course of his life. Since his arrival in Marshfield John has been an active and outspoken member of the community always willing to roll up his sleeves for a cause he believes in. John is proud to live in a community such as Marshfield and is a firm believer in community based development and enrichment.

Dedicated Entrepenuer

John has owned and operated two businesses, and served as the President of the Marshfield Chamber of commerce for four years. Since his arrival John has been a fierce advocate for small business interests and economic improvement in the town of Marshfield. He worked with the downtown task force on facilitating improvements in the downtown area, and he worked tirelessly against the Town's plans of using eminent domain that would economically benefit the interests of a few.

His time as President of the chamber is marked by his spirit for community betterment. As President of the chamber he worked with the town to reestablish Rid Litter day and helped promote the town's Adopt an Island program. As both a member and an advocate for the small business community John knows the challenges that face today's entrepreneurs and will work tirelessly to ensure that the state provides the economic atmosphere where the creative and powerful spirit of the American small business can thrive.

Politics and Community Activism

John has been involved in politics and community advocacy for all of his adult life. He served two terms as a Ward City Counselor in Marlborough as a champion of his neighbors tax dollars and environment. He was a founding member and president of the Boys and Girls Club in Marshfield from 1999 to 2003. He has worked tirelessly for the betterment of his communities as a recycling advocate on the Solid Waste Committee and a primary member of the Rail Trail Group that eventually founded the Trails and Ways committee. John's work with all these organizations has given him a solid background as an advocate that will fight for healthy sustainable communities.
